Description All machines in the GST series feature a compact soundproofed enclosure and sound dampening hoppers. The granulators are available in two rotor diameters, 250 and 400mm with widths ranging from 300 to 1000mm. While the smaller machines feature an open F-rotor the bigger machines rely on the heavier S-rotor. The tangential back-wall of the cutting chamber ensures an aggressive infeed of material while also avoiding blockages. The rigid design of the GST series ensures reliability and it includes advanced standard features such as replaceable wear plates. As on all ZERMA granulators the rotor and stator blades are adjusted outside of the machine to reduce maintenance downtime. Applications The compact in-line granulators of the GST series are primarily designed for use in blow moulding applications to recycle voluminous parts such as bottles, drums and jerry cans, as well as blow moulding flash, tops/tails and crates. The aggressive tangential design of the cutting chamber ensures that large volume containers do not “bounce/dance” on top of the rotor, but are quickly gripped and pulled into the cutting chamber. The low feeding height makes the GST-series suitable for both hand and conveyor feeding of large articles. The low noise level and small footprint makes the GST-series the perfect fit for in-line recycling operations. Advantages
